SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Logistics Operations Specialist Intermediate at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages complex and/or multiple logistics activities.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans.
  • Manages and directs logistics support development planning and documentation.
  • Interfaces with customers at all levels.
  • Uses expertise and experience in logistics to lead and direct logistics teams and tasking.
  • Reviews and assesses logistics program status in relation to the project goals.
  • Prepare logistics-related documents (e.g. Material Requests, Shipping Documents, and Receipts as needed)
  • Prepare management reports, pertaining to the supply and equipment management areas
  • Maintain inventory of commercial office supplies.
  • Prepare utilization reports as required for Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)
  • Distribute bulk items utilizing Government furnished van, notably copy paper and storage boxes. Weight limit may exceed 50 pounds.
  • Transport equipment and deliver supplies and documents to all areas of campus.
  • Assist credit card holder in picking up purchased items from local vendors. Weight limit may exceed 50 pounds.
  • Item bar-coding for equipment inventory control.
  • Process paperwork of turn-in of excess equipment and furniture. Weight limit may exceed 50 pounds.
  • Process all equipment transfers.
  • Assists in relocation of furniture and equipment. Weight limit may exceed 50 pounds.
  • Receives and documents parcel deliveries to initiate property pass and to provide ownership paperwork.
  • Process outgoing Express mail packages.
  • Tracks, monitors, and issues all deliveries received through Government purchases.
  • Provide Equipment Coordinators with inventory report to locate items not found
  • Reconcile all items purchased through Government channels.
  • Follow up with suppliers on purchase requests until completion or purchase is closed out.
  • Maintain all files and records in support of Equipment requirements, daily.
  • Provide temporary/ongoing Equipment Support Services as required.
  • Maintain Test Management & Diagnostic Equipment TMDE equipment inventory listings to verify calibration status.
  • Maintain Monthly Equipment Walk-Through reports with Equipment Coordinators
  • Process, degauss hard drives and track equipment (including laptops, monitors, and testing equipment) as turned in by Government employees.
  • Assist Government GPC holder in reviewing market research received from requiring activity.
  • Perform data entry of non-expendable equipment to be purchased.
  • Prepare documentation associated with equipment purchases.
  • Assist in receipt and bar coding for acquired material.
  • Prepare DD250 for purchases (for Government approval and signature).
  • Assist reconciliation of all GPC billings monthly.
  • Enter purchase request data into the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
  • Follow up with suppliers on purchase requests until completion or purchase is closed out.
  • Track all material requests submitted to the Army Contracting Command through award and delivery.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)

  • Associate degree in business or related field highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience.

  • Must be MS Office Suite proficient
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be organized
  • Must have a Secret clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
